TEXTILES

In my Minor TEXTILES I researched ways on how to create an innovative and sustainable textile collection that can make a meaningful impact in the fashion industry. The point is to research and conceptualisation, ways to address future needs in textile innovation. My emphasis lies on crafting a visually appealing and at the same time modern collection.

Experimentation phase- Knit, Weave and Felting

During the first month of the semester I worked with different techniques of creating fabrics.

The technique I'm now experimenting with is print.

CONCEPT development

Sculpted Threads is a textile collection unlike any other, where tradition meets innovation. Through the lens of modern technology, this collection

reimagines fabric through the organic beauty of veins and tree roots.

At its core, Sculpted Threads embodies a fusion of traditional craftsmanship and 3D printing. Picture delicate lace patterns meticulously sculpted from materials like TPU, PLA, and silk. Yet, it goes beyond mere aesthetics, aiming to push the boundaries of fabric.

Through the combination of these two crafts, Sculpted Threads not only creates unique textures and designs but also explores material applications. We invite you to join us on a journey of discovery and innovation, where each piece tells a story of

creativity, craftsmanship, and the endless potential of merging tradition with the future.
